Nice upgrade, you will love the bluetooth streaming. You just get in the car and it recognizes your iphone and you can play music. Very simple. Also, I think the color you have is Mercury Metallic, Starfire Peal is white.

Congratulation on your new LS, I always love the new younger look, However, there's one thing I doubt is the quality of bluetooth music, I've tried several times on an IS, ES and LS, the sound was average, lack of bass, poor treble, the songs I played were 320kbps. Can anyone confirm this? I really like the HDD since the sound is very full.

Thank you. Here's a before and after. It's pretty nice getting a vehicle below invoice without any haggling. That's a hard deal to pass up. But maybe next time she'll want the nicer service experience. In the end, it's whatever she wants - right?
As for the iPod stuff - I won't know that until I pick up the car tomorrow morning. I don't think anything has changed in those regards, however. I'm pretty sure the LS still doesn't have a good way to connect to an iPod or iPhone other than the auxiliary port...

Congratulations! I believe they all got USB ports starting with MY2010, plus you will also now have bluetooth audio, which is great. This why they dropped the ability to rip CDs onto the hard drive.
FWIW, I used the USB port once or twice on our LX and haven't since. Bluetooth audio controls have come a long way since we first got the LX in 2010. After a couple of software updates (mainly iOS updates), you can now see song information on the NAV display and control (just jumping songs) from the steering wheel, so hooking up to the USB is not as imperative (unless your phone needs a charge too!).
Enjoy your new car!

This is not a flaw of the Lexus, it is just what it is when it comes to wireless data.

Wanting to do the same thing
Sal, now that you have had it for a while do you think that the ride s smoother. I am not impressed at all with myn2008 460l. I expected the ride to be much much better. I'm going to the dealership to trade to the exact 2012 but in silver.
