Radio and GPS on at same time
I have 2009ls AWD. If I have my radio on, and the GPS announces turning directions, both the radio and the GPS audio are on. This can be very confusing, and dangerous. Is this normal? Is there a fix?

You can help with this problem by turning up the volume for the spoken navigation directions.
To turn up the volume, you need to momentarily press the MENU hard key, (lower key in the right hard key cluster) and then select the VOLUME soft key on the screen. Select the volume that is appropriate for you. There is an option on the same screen to enable the ADAPTIVE VOLUME and you will probably want to do that too. The "Adaptive Volume" is an autonomous feature that boost the volume as speed goes up to compensate for wind and road noise that increases with speed.
