Default ls 600hl - how do I make it retain the "reclined position" of back seat?

On my LS 600 HL- there are two buttons on the rear door handle. One is C and other is M.
One lights up, when pressed.
What is the function of each?
I would prefer to leave the back seats in reclined position permanently but I find that they go back to erect position often (I didn't particularly test this function).
what is the function of the C and M buttons?
thanks.

I know it has something to do with memory functions but i haven't figured it out myself. I never sit in the back seat...though clarification would be dope.

not sure if you have an executive package of not, but if the fully reclined position was able to be set permanently (which i'm assuming is not) it would be arduous and quite difficult for someone to get into that seat.

I got out of my 600hL and opened the back door and noticed the rear seat going back to standard position automatically..never noticed that before but I'm sure that is some type of exit/entry feature for easier ingress maybe? Maybe there is an option in personalized settings or something?

Have you read your Owner's Manual?

It's in there.

There should be three buttons on each door panel: Set, M, and C.

The Set button behaves just like the memory programming button in the front seats.

The M returns the seat to the memorized position.

The C button turns the easy-exit style function on and off. If you want it to stop retreating, just press the C button, and the seat should stay in place when the door is opened.

Hope that helps!

I want the seat to stay in place. Should the C button stay Lighted? I thought I did that and some times, I find that the seat has retracted anyway.. a bit confusing..
