2010-12 front bumper on a 2007-09 questions

I've seen a thread somewhere someone tried to fit the M/C bumper on a 07-09 without changing the headlights. Was wondering if anyone has any info on that? What it might take to make it work and what just doesn't work. I know there's some gap issues but i can imagine someone on here has already tried to fit it and made it work.

AFAIK, the only two cars I can think of are the one from Platinum VIP and username Jasoneo5.
Platinum VIP's car had the after m/c headlights without the bumper had a gap and resolved the issue by just using an after m/c bumper.
The only member who has actually done some custom work w/ his oem bumper was retrofitting the after m/c headlights with a pre m/c bumper, Jasoneo5, and has his stuff for sale in the classifieds section:
