LS - 4th Gen (2007-2017) Discussion topics related to the current flagship models LS460, LS460L and LS600H

So given all the well documented issues, would you still recommend the LS 460?

YES. Only the Lexus selling dealer can sell you an extended CPO Warranty AT TIME OF PURCHASE. Recent quotes I got was about $2100 for a 5 year 100k and $2400 for a 6 year 100k. Of course the 3yr 100k was free, or actually dealer cost of $995.

If the car is still within the 4yr 50k miles from first delivery you could opt out of the CPO warranty and ask for a $995 discount price and the purchase a Plattinum Lexus Extended warranty from someone like Jerry Johnson at Midwest. Don't quote me but I believe a 8 yr 100k runs about $2400. That's 8 years from initial date of service to original owner.

If you pay for either and extended CPO or Lexus Platinum and you sell the car you can get a prorated refund. I know the Platinum is transferable to a new owner but not sure about the extended CPO. The standard CPO is not transferable.

Wind noise or not, still quieter than a BMW 750. And feels more upscale. I would do an LS.

Agree. An extended warranty will pay for itself on the LS 460.
