Default LS460 Suspension, Base Model, 2008

I have a 2008 LS460, standard wheelbase (26K miles) without the sport suspension package. I love the car but the suspension could use some enhancements. The ride is great on smooth roads - steady and quiet; however, accelerating from a stop or at high speed on unsmooth surfaces, the LS is just not smooth at all – feels like being on a boat diving left-right. I also own an SC430 – a stark contrast from the LS460 – the suspension is steady & smooth compensating for the uneven surface.

Would appreciate all suggestions on what I can do to make the LS460 ride sportier without hindering the quietness of the car, or changing out the tires (stock 18 inch wheels). I would consider new suspsension/shocks.

Thank you!

a set of coils will set you right or some springs but if you are aggressive with your wheel set up then coils might be needed to fine tune your drop.

Thanks CJITTY! I've tried looking but can't seem to find your thread; would you attach the link?

Thanks for the tip, Shibumi; works great!

From what I've read so far, the Tanabe would lower the LS by about 1 inch - does that sound right?
