I just bought my 2nd son an Infiniti G35. The rear tires were plum worn out. I told the previous owner I'd rather buy the car with worn out tires and I could put really good tires on it, than have you put some dirt cheapies on first. He was fine with that of course, but also provided me with a tire receipt from Discount Tire. The tires on there had a 30k mile warranty and only had 14.Xk miles on them. Discount Tire didn't bat an eye. They prorated in the neighborhood of 50% (I wasn't going to nitpick with them), and I bought hella good new rear tires for my son's car. The new tires were on discount, I got proration ... it was a good deal all around. I like Discount Tire. I just wish they'd buy some friggin alignment machines...
My son had a leak in one of his tires. He went up to Discount Tire to get it repaired. They didn't charge him and he hadn't bought the tires there. I'll be a Discount Tire user for my next set of tires.

Free tire rotation and tire repair at Discount Tire / America's Tire even if you hadn't bought the tires there.
Well it's a beautiful day here in sunny South Florida, but it is cold, about 60°. Brrrrrrrrrrr!
And here she is, LowPhat, sitting pretty and just waiting to go for a drive. How could I do anything else but oblige?
Haha. I remember making that joke before and then finding myself making a cold start video of my LS460 in -26 degree weather a decade later.
No kidding, was it a big change for you moving from San Diego to IN? Lived in Imperial Beach for a few years many years ago. Before covid I would visit SD 2 or 3 times a year. Staying with friends in Ramona, I really enjoyed riding motorcycles on Wildcat Canyon Rd. You stay classy San Diego!

That’s awesome. It was a huge change; gotta say that four seasons are vastly overrated. I miss being able to go outside in January wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
I lived in Michigan for a few years while I worked for Toyota. Although I like Michigan, the people and Toyota, the winter sucked. It was too much work. Shorts in the winter is where it's at.

I'll bet that was a Drastic change, but I'll also bet that Cost of Living is Considerably different too. A house that costs $500k in Indiana is probably a good sized, Nice home, while out on the West coast, it was leased land and a popup tent!

It’s true. In California I never had hopes for home ownership. Just renting a room to sleep in was expensive enough. For $500k here you’d have a really nice home, although you’d need to earn six figures to afford that mortgage.

I agree with you there because $500k no matter where you live is ALOT of money (at least to me, it is). I was just saying that $500k gets you Considerably more home in Indiana than it does in California. The weather isn't as nice but that's one of the tradeoffs I guess.
I would be embarrassed to show a picture of my car. It's been snowing over the last few days here in CT (well not today) but, it's only 18 out. I agree shorts and a t-shirt in Jan/Feb would be epic... If my family didn't live up here I think I would of been gone many years ago...
Hate this time of the year, my car is always dirty
