Wow, is that green? Never seen a green one before. Just like the rare red, this is even rarer, assuming my eyes are seeing green?
What's the name of that color?
It's called Verdigris Mica. I only know it because it was somewhat popular on the 3rd-gen GS when we were buying one about a decade ago, but there have been a few LS460s on here in that color - just not too many pictures of this size.
Thank you, caha. I like this shot too! Muscular and mean look, indeed!
Discerning eyes may notice that the hood is off by a couple of millimeters to the right. I noticed it when buying but didn't think anything of it, and the Lexus PPI did not flag it either. However, my local Lexus SA is sure there was some front work done. He felt that the panel fit on the driver front side was slightly off. Can't be sure what it is. Everything checks out OK, so I hope it is not something that will come back to haunt me.
I had not looked in that direction at all, but can totally see it (and like you, would've seen it when buying). You can always have a high-end body shop look at it, but you're right, it's not necessarily cause for alarm. Start by taking a look at the bolts that hold the hood to the hinges - you should immediately see whether they've been loosened, or they're covered by factory paint.
FWIW, some years ago, I had the front of my 460 repainted. There was no collision whatsoever. When they reinstalled the hood, there was a tiny incremental gap like yours that wouldn't go away. So, they moved the front fender in a hair, and presto.

Thats LS above isn't Verdigris Mica. Verdigris Mica is a lighter color that was available on the LS from 07-09 (and other Lexus vehicles including the GS). That color is the green that replaced Verdigris Mica with the 2010 refresh, Peridot Mica which was also available on the ES.

Nice catch, thanks! I hadn't had coffee and didn't realize I was looking at a '10-'12 car. No wonder it looked a bit darker than I remembered...

Thanks, I will check the hinges and update when I get the car back after the sunroof replacement.
Thanks guys, yes the car is Peridot Mica, here is another shot with more light. The green really changes depending on lighting, out in the sun it gets crazy sparkly. I'll be taking some better shots with my dslr that should show the color better in the next few days.
Should I even ask what the last minute blur job is all about? lol

Can really tell the green is quite interesting in this picture.
