Need help
Hi All. All you guys been a great joy thru the years. I need help on what i should price my car. I am selling my baby because I am retiring and moving overseas. I have an blue 07 LS 460L , rear wheel , 44,000 miles, with everything except the air susp, ,and the executive package. The car is been babied and has the invisible bra on the hood, mirrors and on rear bumper by the trunk. never smoked in. I checked what KBB had posted but someone said their numbers are no good.
Thanks in advance for your input. I would post pictures if it would help. I am not looking for a trade in price

Check appraisals on Edmunds and NADA and then average with KBB. The only thing to be careful of is many times owners rate the condition of their car better than it really is. And of course the overwhelming factor is the immediate supply/demand equation in your area.
Good luck and buon viaggio!

Run it over to your local CarMax. They'll give you a solid number for what they will pay IN CASH TODAY. Compare that number to blue book values and you should have a good feel for trade-in/wholesale. Retail sale is a whole different animal.

I've bought 3 used Lexus cars in he last 6 months. I used KBB as a guide and never paid more that KBB estimated. All of them were in immaculate condition.
i think you will find Carmax offer $33k or less. There's a very nice silver/black 2007 LS460L with Executive package, radar cruise etc. at local CarMax in Ft Lauderdale with only 33,000 miles for $38.9k retail.

Private party sale should go something in between. Selling private party becomes tricky. Clear title, financing etc.

The value of the Significant differences between the two;
Long Wheel Base adds $4k to retail price
Executive package adds $3.5k to price
Lack of CPO deducts $1k

There is quite a difference between the CarMax LS460L I pointed to and the NY LS460 you pointed to. The CarMax is a single owner LWB w//Executive package, Radar Cruise, Ottoman reclining rear seats, ceiling mounted DVD Video system for rear passengers etc. It's also been Florida car since delivery, where it hasn't been subjected to the weather elements of NE winters. The NY car is Short Wheel Base, two owner.

Yes,it's worth about $5K more with it being a LWB w//Executive package, Radar Cruise,DVD .So $38K isn't a bad number.
Lack of CPO is at least $2K.Winter in the north wouldn't be a concern to me with the only 33K miles in 6 years.
I don't have a Carmax in my area.Closest is in CT.Can asking price be negotiated?I think I've read no haggle pricing.
