hahaha, it is the truth. i like how everyone is super helpful. Sometimes, people dont have the time to read throgh tons of threads in order to get an answer and a quick answer would be nice.

We respectfully ask you take the time to search, posting multiple questions for topics heavily discussed clutters the forum

You can get answers very fast within google by using this formula in a search to pull threads directly from this forum (topic of interest, LS460, clublexus.com)

Example: Parking Sensor, LS460, clublexus.com

I know a lot of you newbs and many of us old heads have short attention spans, but people take the time to provide helpful threads for folks and can be easily found with just 2 minutes of your time searching, just sayin..

.
I have to say, Im "guilty" of mostly using a quick search to resolve most issues but I also believe that people should ask in forums. I belonged to a forum that will remain unnamed about a specific bike. People would always say "use the search". After about 3 years, the forum was only being used for local events and for people to post pics. All the questions had been answered and searched. I dont want anything like that to happen to any other forum, specially this one.

I hear ya Busa..but nothing more annoying than when people ask questions that are literally answered 5 threads down on the same page with same thread title or info contained in one of the sticky threads. To be clear, I am Not saying this was the case for this thread, but that kind of stuff is a trip! There are other forums that are more advanced that actually pops up suggested threads as people type on a new post...pretty cool stuff. Maybe someday ClubLexus will be able to add that type of functionaility..like a real time search

It was actually a Honda Rune site so it's nowhere near a rice rocket.

Back to the park assist.... I have been reading this thread with interest because my 2007 (without nav screen) has the P button, green light and sensors on the bumpers. However, when I push the P, the light comes on, but no display on the instrument panel and no beeps when backing around objects. Also, no error lights as well. I am wondering if there is another way to tell if in fact I have that feature operational on my car? Seems too insignificant to be an indicator in the VIN #.

You can get your VIN and call Lexus Corporate and they will tell you all of the options that came with the car. Easy way, start your car, put it in drive and have someone walk in front of your car to see if they go off. Do the same in reverse.

Default I'm picking up mid string b/c my answer to this is that I DO see the parking sensors

My rear parking sensors show up on my dash, but make no noise. My front sensors function fully, with display and beeping.

Any ideas?
