Would you buy this warranty ?

Would you buy this warranty ?
So i was shopping for extended platinum warranty for my lexus. I went to the lexus dealership where i purchased it and i was given a quote for a bumper to bumper, lexus platinum warrrant with a 100 dollar deductible for 36,000 or three years. The price is $4286 dollars. They also have them for 1 year, 12,000 miles, but i feel like i would want at least 3 years coverage.
Is this a good deal? keep in mind, my car is over 50k miles already so i will never get the crazy $1800 extended warranty many of guys get.
Is this a good deal for my 2009 lexus ls460? or do you think it is way too high and these cars hardly have problems to justify spending $4,000 dollars?
i would like to get your advice
thanks in advance!

Extended warranth
I think it is a terrible deal! Did you try the online Lexus people who sell them such as the one in Kansas Louisana, or MA. Above 50,000 miles you are only going to be able to get a power train warranty. The power trains on the LS are outstanding. It is the electroincs, air suspension, etc that can run into big bucks. But put the $4000+ dollars in the bank with the intent of keeping it there for at least the three years. It something does happen pay for it out of the money in the bank and I believe you will still have a decent balance after the three years. Plus, the $100 deductible is a non-starter. That means anytime you go in for any thing related to the warranty you are going to be out $100 at least each trip. My car is a 2012 and I got a 8 year platinum warranty with zero deductible for $1965. I know I could have got it a little cheaper if I had taken the time to look around more. I know you stated you were out of bumper to bumper warranty, but that price is way to high for a power train warranty. You did not state if you bought the car new, but if it was a CPO you get three years if you bought it through a lexus dealer, and you can extended that for a longer period for a cheaper price than that.

i agree terrible deal!!
i paid 2k and im good for 4yr/100k $50 deductible
i also agree with put the money aside and dont touch it if something comes up use that money to cover it, truely doubt you will ever even spend that in repairs that are covered anyway.

The warranty is a bumper to bumper.. My car has 64k miles so the warranty is more after 50k. The only way lexus allows you to buy warranty after 50k miles is if you bought the car through a lexus dealer. However, the warranty price goes up significantly after 50k miles. What I wanted to know is if it was worth it or not based on your experience with this car...

Call Toby Rivers at Lexus of Shreveport. He will give you a fair deal.

understood ,IMHO its not worth it for that price.... i bought mine at 45k, with that being said, my advice is contact Premier Dealer Services 1-800-438-0100 thats the info on my contract i have what they call the EXCLUSIONARY and its tranferrable and bumper to bumper and honored by Lexus... hope you can get it cheaper than what you have been offered by eliminating the middle man good luck hope it helps.

Credit union warranties all the way, what you posted was a terrible deal. Warranties are like car shopping, you gotta call around, negotiate. But, I can tell you with this car it will pay for itself most likely. I have a CPO car, but I paid a little extra to get an additional 2 years to get me a 5 year/ 125K mile warranty through Lexus..i just had upper control arms replaced for about $2K...not a dime out of my pocket, so that has essentially been paid for by that one repair alone. It is worth it on a car like this..IF you get the right warranty deal
Have you searched through all the threads on ClubLexus regarding extended warranty and third party vendors? Read through these, maybe they will help http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sclient...iw=837&bih=422

i have researched and i have not anything on third party warranties.. still waiting on anyone here to give me direction on who/where to call. As it stands right now, i won't be getting a warranty at that price based on what i have been told here, but i would like to get a warranty of some sort regardless.. I just dont know which one and with who..
