2013 Seats vs. Previous Model
Hi,
I read a lot of complaints about the seats in the previous generation LS (2012) and wondered
if anyone that has moved on to the 2013 vs. previous gen could offer up their comparison/likes and dislikes of the 2013 Seats.
I have done a couple of test drives and I think I prefer the F-Sport Seats as they seem to be more comfortable. In the near future I plan on doing an extended test drive prior to purchasing a 2013 LS.
Thanks for the feedback.

I noticed that as well when I recently sat in an LS F sport. I also didnt like the added bolstering. Im 6'5" and weigh about 325lbs so I need the added length and I do not need the bolsters.
I had an issue with seat comfort in my 2007 LS460. The dealer replaced the pad and it didnt jack. I ended up taking the car to an auto upholstery place who added memory foam and made the seat heavenly. Kind of upsetting when your flag ship Lexus has seat discomfort and wind noise. Still better than the issue the S550 and 750 owners are dealing with

I have a 2013 LS and the driver's seat is once again somewhat thin on the bottom cushion (or maybe I'm getting thicker on the bottom!) I'll eventually have to have it (and passenger seat) worked on, but I intend to wait until others blaze the trail as it doesn't bother me overly much.

I was nervous about letting a shop mess with the seats but they nailed it the first time and its been close to two years and I have had no issues with comfort or workmanship. The shop I went to was a hole in the wall filled with low riders. When I saw all of the custom upholstery work on the low riders I figured these guy know what they are doing. I left the car for 4 hours and it ran me about $110. They even insisted that I return if there was still a comfort issue and that they would not charge me for a touch up if more memory foam needed to be added
