Default LS 460 FWD: F-Sport or not

I have almost made up my mind and am ready to trade my 2013 Mercedes S350 for 2013 LS 460. My only concern is that normal LS does not seem to have variable suspension, and in order to have one I need F-Sport. What I do not like about F-Sport is that its ground clearance seems a little low for me - I am afraid of hitting ice or curbs. Is 4.7 inch ground clearance fixed or it can be raised by pressing some button?

This is not accurate. I have a non-F-sport 2013 LS460 with "variable" air suspension.

Just need the air suspension option. I just read that on the Lexus website....not bad for a noob.

From one noob to another....read. THERE IS NO FWD LS......EVER! It's RWD or AWD.

My LS460 L is non-Fsport and has air suspension.

Just curious - do you have the ultra lux package? Seems like all of the non-F-sports in dealerships around here that have air are also ultra-lux. I was hoping to find a base LS with air with no luck yet.

According to http://goo.gl/AgjFY, variable air suspension is part of F-sport package. What packages do you have?

On the other hand, it looks like air suspension may not worth the potential trouble (like this - http://goo.gl/8eLtI). Any thoughts on that? (I am in southern West Virginia with a lot of winding roads).

Nope. Didn't want to cough up the trunk space and definitely didn't want back seat passengers screwing around with HVAC or sound system. That's when I even HAVE rear passengers - once in a blue moon! I custom ordered mine from the factory through a co-operative dealer and got a good price using well-known buying programs. Good luck with your search.

Twisty roads and hilly areas are precisely where you need the ability to tune suspension, steering, shift points, aand throttle response. As far as component failure, you're fully covered for 4 years 50k miles under Lexus factory warranty. Anytime during this period, you can extend the factory warranty for various years/mileage combos with different prices. Members here can direct you to where the lowest extended warranty pricing is available.
