If you simply want the afs light to stop flashing you can unplug the AFS ecu. It is number 15 in this diagram. Your headlights will still turn on but they won't move. No warning lights come on. I believe this only works for model years 2007-2012. I've had my 2007 unplugged for years.
Wanted to let the world know about my AFS off issue, troubleshooting, and stumbling upon a solution.
If you have techstream, you can see the readout of the height sensors. For whatever reason, be it due to the accident, old age, or wear and tear, my front sensor was out of range at 0.50 volts. I figured it was dead but before I purchased a new nearly $300 sensor, I decided to remove it and fiddle with it. Much to my surprise when lowering the sensor arm, it began reading out. Much to my satisfaction it looked like it was still reading out the full range which is 0.50 volts to 2.63. I tried to shorten my height sensor link and just like that, AFS OFF has now returned to AFS on
