I def caught the J reference being that his old stuff is still in heavy rotation on my playlists.

Responding to an old thread here, I know. However, I just wanted to give the heads up to any one looking to do this fix on a 2013+. The actuator motor in the 2013 is different, the metal housing is a housing for the earth magnets and brushless motor. I couldn't figure out away to attach the motor that I purchased from the links above.

This is cap of the actuator motor

The motor is 4-5 times bigger than the motor I had bought. If anyone has suggestions please let me know 🙂!

I wish I could help. Regardless it's great to see a LS owner doing work like this.
I won't complain about this same issue on my old Infiniti FX45!
Good luck.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. You purchased the wrong motor and want to make it fit? Why not just buy the correct motor and write off the lost money as part of life? I believe eBay is a good place to find new and used.

I bought the exact motor that worked for the OP. No, I'm not going to try and make it fit or work. The actuator on the 07-12 is different than the 2013+. Im just trying to help and inform people that might try this fix on their 2013+ and or get help on buying the correct motor for the 2013+.

The silver lining in all if this is that I can now disassemble the door and get the actuator and lock out in under an hour without taking the window out.
