New Brakes, grinding noise

I just had new pads(ceramics, not sure of the brand) all around and new front rotors installed from a local shop that I trust. When braking while cold, there is a grinding sound and feel, I took the car back to the shop, they've acknowledged the issue, double checked their work, and are willing to replace the pads if it continues, which it has. Is there a break in period for ceramics, should I specify a different type of pad. Any advice appreciated.

I believe when brakes are replaced there is a very slight grinding noise for a few miles or so depending on how one drives i guess. Should be gone within a couple of days, if not less.

You need do a few power stops maybe that break in the pads and get them to marry to the rotors. But how do the pads feel as far as stopping??? Do you find yourself needing to apply more pressure?? Besides noise do u feel confident??
