How much to offer off the retail Blue Book for a CPO? I found a nice one in Vegas..
I'm looking at a 2010 LS460L loaded except executive seating it only has 15k miles..
Great carfax great and Lexus service report. They are pretty much asking retail CPO blue book which is $52k..
What would be a good and what would be a great deal??
Im thinking of dropping the CPO and adding the 8/125k with Jerry..

Just because you drop the CPO and go another route do not expect the dealer to drop the price too much. They will telling you how many tech hours was used inspecting and bringing the car up to their CPO standards. Double check to make sure you can purchase the Lexus care warranty on a used car. You may only be able to get the standard warranty that came with the car.

 

Thanks.. Yes, I can get a Lexus platinum warranty and many have said they will drop the price $1500 if it's not a CPO..

 

All BS..catch a CPO on the lot for over 60 days and watch thousands come off the price while maintaining CPO. Just stall em out and deal on email..worked for me

FYI the CPO can be upgraded (at purchase time only) to more years and mileage as well...might be better because the years start from CPO purchase, not original in service date like with the Platinum warranty.

Using Edmunds, KBB and NADA, try as best you can to ascertain at what price they own the car. Let's say for example you think they own it at $45,000. Then walk into the dealership with your checkbook in hand. Tell the salesman you will buy the car right now for $46,000. That would be a great deal. If they counter and you can get it for $47,000, then that would be a good deal.

If you really want to be aggressive, have a deposit check already made out to the dealership and get the salesman to take it in his hand. It is real hard to give back money.
