Default Passenger seat rattle when unoccupied

Anyone had this issue when the car is driven over rough roads. The rattle is suppressed if I lean over and hold the seat.

The issue most likely the tires need to road forced and your seat will not vibrate/rattle once done. I'm 99% sure that road force will fix it, along with a proper balance as well.

I don't think it is tire / wheel balance in my case as the seat rattling is only on rough roads. On smooth roads at both low and highway speed it is fine. It seems as if something is not tight within the seat mechanism. It may also be the head restraint.

Default Passenger Seat rattle

I had this problem on a previous vehicle. The back of the passenger seat had developed a slight vibration. I put a small rubber wedge on the outside edge of the seat and slide it back under the upright seatback until it was out of sight. Problem solved. But if you changed the tilt on the seat it was another problem. I just never changed the tilt angle. The vehicle was out of warranty or I would have had the dealer fix or replace the seat.
