Default Noise cancellation sensor?

was in Locust Grove and wanted to install a 12" JL TW5 sub and a JL mono amp... the installer told me that there is a noise cancellation sensor that needs to be bypassed or turned off and he doesn't know how to do it. where do i go from here? glad he didn't do the install just to get money and **** something up. he also said it ties in with the mic. in the car.

I have never heard of the noise cancellation sensor.

Do you have the Mark Levinson system? If it's similar to the 2012 LS the head unit/amp combination will attenuate the bass as you bump up the volume. It's crazy, but that's what Lexus/Harmon Kardon is doing.
