Default Sluggish acceleration..........sometimes

I have an 08 460 LS. I am experiencing sluggish acceleration. It feels like the car is in the wrong gear and has no power. This is intermittent and most of the time ok. Occasionally it is jerky when pulling out when it has proper power. Anybody had this issue.

Could be due to the quality of your gas. Are you using a brand name 91 or above octane?

When the weather's cold in the morning, and before the transmission has had a chance to warm up, my 2010 LS 460 shifts abruptly in lower gears for the first couple of shifts.

There's a TSIB concerning hesitation on acceleration for 07-08 LS460s. Link is below.

http://www.lambros.net/LexusTechInfo...SB-0033-08.pdf

Check to see if your VIN falls in the range of affected vehicles.

If possible, could it be that your car is in the "eco mode" setting. I've noticed a big difference from ECO and NON eco. I used to drive in ECO all the time but the sluggish acceleration was beginning to bother me so I only turn that on when and after I get to freeway speeds? Good luck!
