Who knows. Sewell list 2 part numbers for each side, one with a 5.0 next to it (mm?) for ~$350 and one with a 5.1 next to it for ~$450. I'm thinking the 5.1 might be the laminated glass because these windows are about 5mm thick and 0.1mm might be the thickness of a laminate layer.

Stage One - old parts removed
I have two new "finned" parts - now to be brave and break the old ones off and try the new ones. I'm going to "goop" the entire area with exterior grade (15 year outside all weather warranty) silicone and fit the parts into the sloppy mess, wait for it all to "set" and see how it goes.
Seeing how we hang upside down off the planet and the toilet water goes backwards down the hole, who knows what may happen!
Cheers again from Downunder!

A good fix!
I pulled the parts off with ease as illustrated. Remember the steering wheel here is on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the car. Photos attached which show the very poor adhesion both sides but particularly bad on the right hand, or driver's side door, hence the very annoying whistling and vortex running up the A pillar. Cheers Gordon
Result.
At least a 50% reduction in wind noise overall. A substantial lessening in the effect of crosswind gusts.
An almost total reduction in the "apparent" noise to halfway up the A pillar previously caused, I think, by a vortex generated at the gap at the top of the original piece.
The pitch of the wind noise has dropped because I think, again, small gaps that caused a high pitched whistle have been eliminated and the only noise is wind rush between the cover piece and the mirror itself.
Speaking of which, my friends' older GS450h (see pic) has a completely different style of mirror installation and his car generates no wind noise at all around the mirrors or front windows.
The original pieces came off easily and this fix took 10 minutes per side.

UPDATE!
Finally some feedback on my "fix" I did the jmcraney fix and installed the stabilizing fins on top of that! I snapped the guide pieces off the back, and kept the foam on the new piece intact.
Overall, %50 reduction as ATCMIL1 mentioned. This car will not be as silent as my old LS430 as it simply is such a huge departure in styling from the 1, 2, & 3LS and didn't have $1billion dollars worth of wind tunnel studies done to it.
I'm happy with what I have, and it's not so loud that I have to apologize to guests who ride in my car.
Cheers!

The old sealant should come off fine.
One thing to remember is that although I did the jmcraney fix with the sealant, I used 2-part epoxy on the stabilizing fins in addition to the foam block and stickers it already had on it.

I'm still going strong with my fix, in fact the only reason why im posting is because I feel that the fix has actually gotten better over time. I think the adhesion with the warmer weather or the wind it's self has added pressure to the trim pieces to make it have solid contact.
I'm very pleased.

close your window all the way up and then tap the window switch down real quick just to make it go down a tiny bit and almost all wind noise goes away. i dunno why but it works for me. worth a shot for all the other ls owners
