Remote Opening Trunk Lid

Remote Opening Trunk Lid
It is very cold up here in WI and this week, I found that the trunk lid would not power open. It would unlatch and then just sit there. There was no ice in the way and it would power down normally. When parked in the garage overnight it was ok but at work at the end of the day it would not do its thing.
Anyone experienced this in cold weather?

Sounds like the rubber seal has adhered to the trunk lid due to the cold temp... (kinda like a tongue on frozen metal) if the motor load exceeds its load limit it'll shut off not to burn out... same thing happens if u put a pkg on the trunk an try to open it....no mas.. just open it by hand til it warms up....

No its not the rubber sticking because the trunk will open partly (about one third of the way) and then doesn't seem to have the energy to open all of the way. I am thinking the mechanism does not work well in the cold temperatures. It is still under the original 4 year warranty and so I think I will ask the dealer to take a look
