Headlight Issues
Headlights come on sometimes, does flicker and at times does turn on at all, either in manual or auto switch mode.
The flickering and when it goes off, its both left and right at the same time.
Any clue or advise?
I am suspecting the ballast on the HID. Tried changing bulbs, problem still persist.

Based on what you have told us I would continue to suspect the bulbs. I believe that each bulb has its own ballast. Ballast failure is rare and the odds of both ballasts failing at the same time is even more extreme. But the bulbs do have a life that is related to how many hours they are on and to some extent how many on/off cycles they go through. Both bulbs don't usually fail at the same time but it is not uncommon for them to fail within a few month of each other. If you have already replaced the bulbs with new bulbs you should consider the possibility that the replacement bulbs were not really new. Most of these bulbs when they are bad will turn on when they are started cold, they will go out after the pressure in them rises and will not restart after they become hot, they just flicker when you try to restart them.
I think the best approach for you is to try to get one headlight at a time to operate normally in the "Headlights On" mode - don't try the "Auto On" mode until good results with the other mode.

Hi guys, firstly thanks for all the replies.
Yes i have tested with 2 new bulbs but the problem still persist.
I have even disconnected each side and tried individually but problem still persist.
I know ballast usually won't give up that soon but it for now the cheapest option for me.
A mechanic was suspecting its more than the ballast since its both left and right together plus after testing with new bulbs it still persist. He says he fears its due to lack of sufficient current going into the lighting system which to me is weird. Weird because its either there is current or there isn't and in my case it flickers and not like it doesn't come on.
My LS is a 460 and 2007 model.

You should check the part # of the bulbs to be sure that you are using the right ones.
Are indications different when the car engine is not running?

You must use the right bulbs and not those rebased universal ebay bulbs. You gotta use quality bulbs, where did you get the replacement bulbs from????
