The LS460 is extremely dangerous. Here's why...
I took my first road trip with my family in our new LS460L up through Donner's Pass and into Reno. This car just gobbles up miles. But what I did notice is that going through the mountain pass, the car barely hiccups through the curves and hills. Before you know it, you're pulling lateral g's.
The other thing I notice is that it's reallllly easy to get comfortable in this car. It's just pure smooth silk. Makes me want to go into a trance. I'm not talking about the crap that BMW drivers throw at Lexus cars about detachment etc. Personally I love the smoothness. Just love it!!!!
But I gotta be careful. Cheers to staying alive.

Recently did a 200 mile trip in an east coast snowstorm. RWD easily kept me at 50-60mph with 2-3" of snow on the roads. I kept having to force myself to slow down to 30-35 when I looked down and saw the spedo hit 60.
Car is almost *too* good. Almost.

These cars are definitely smooth. Coming out of a 750Li (kept a oil leak) there are only two things I miss.
1. The acceleration/get up and go from point to point and
2. The 14 way adjustable seat, with ultra comfortable headrest.

I totally agree. Coming from a BMW750, I miss the comfortable seats, its design and presence, and the handling. I do not miss the frequent dealer visits. The LS is a luxury appliance, not to be mistaken for a high performance sedan.
However, for those who like its performance, no offense. To each his own.

I do a lot of highway driving in my LS and I have to admit it is awesome on the high end. It pulls with ease all the way to the limiter. Between the 8 speed tranny, coffin silent interior, and the silky V8 its a formula for covering many miles quickly and with total comfort. I would buy another LS in a second. Its a no brainer car for me.

having no complaints... this is my first LS and i will purchase another in about 5 to 6 years. i've owned ES and GS and i must say this LS has me spoiled rotten. when i purchased the car in March 2013, i couldn't stay out of it, i would find excuses to get in and drive... it is now Jan. 2014 although i have slowed down a bit, i still love the ride and the comfy interior. i have a lot of miles on her (highway miles) and i've had no problems except for the brake actuator.... quick fix and she has treated me the same since the day i bought her. very reliable and sturdy car.
