When I first saw the Avest/spec d tails, I thought of the BMW tails
I thought they looked just great period, really updated the rear. So I got one early on and wasn't/haven't been disappointed

Copy pasted from my build thread..

I recently picked up and installed my K2Motor full LED tail lights. Thanks go out to Nat, Elvin and Carlin @Impact Performance on getting these beautiful tail lights for me.

Overall the quality is good and a deal for the price in my opinion. The new tails really update the look for the LS and they look amazing at night.

I have washed my car 3-4 times without issue, but this popped up today. The bad news is that it spent another 5 hours out in the sun with temps around 80 and it is still there. Have a packed day tomorrow, but may fool around with it if I have time. The next concern will be if the electrical has been compromised. I was instructed by the company I purchased them from to not over tighten the bolts, so maybe it shook a little loose and allowed water to creep past the seal. I'll give an update in another day or so. I also have an issue with the passenger side inner piece not sitting flush, but may be corrected when I retighten.

We've had a lot of rain lately and I've also done several car-washes, but thankfully no leaking yet. I have intentionally felt around the trunk for dampness, as an aftermarket set of tails fried the electronics in my old car. . .

Hopefully this is just a quick gasket re-position and re-tighten.

I think I over tightened mine, time to do surgery again, the gaskets are just about same thickness like the stock ones so don't see how it would let water in. 4 dollar tube of clear silicone wont hurt about now just in case either.

So I dropped the trunk cover today and it rained on me. I was surprised at how much actually came out.

While taking the screws off, one of them kept spinning. It backed itself out of the light

Busted out a hairdryer and let it sit in the sun. Good news is that the light still works. I have not tried reverse yet. Bad news is that the fog is still there. Will contact the seller to see if there is anything we can do. I cannot really tell how or where the water was getting in. It was a little damp towards the bottom, but nothing blatantly obvious. I was turning the light in all different directions and got a good amount of water out, but there is still a bit at the bottom that does not seem to want to come out. I was going to add some silicone, but did not want to void a warranty.

Damnnnnnn that sucks! I know it does rain a lot in Florida though, I'm about to take countermeasures with the silicone just in case and check mine, thanks for the heads up!
