You're right. FIZZ confirmed that the light prob non-Jap made.

Is the fitment is same/exact as OEM?

"prob non Jap made"...he knows it's not made in Japan. It's a cost saving thing, which I understand. As for fitment, I would rank it 9 out of 10. Remember, mine was a prototype from SEMA, the actual set should fit better. I will get my set next week.

And yes, as we were discussing in PMs, the tails are marked "MADE IN TAIWAN"

Wow. They came in already? How's the quality & fitment of the lights? Previous pics are prototype for sema so I'm wondering about production version.

I didn't install them yet. I had ordered these directly from Avest in late November '13, and I just got them earlier this week.

Are those instructions in Japanese only, I got mine ordered and coming in soon also, will I need to take some language lessons to do the install?

Yes, in Japanese only. However I think one could figure out how to install without understanding it, there's a few pics and diagrams

It should be plug and play regardless if you got the Avest or the Spec-D version. Looks like these came with resistor to prevent the fast blinking...my prototype did not. I was told by Spec-D that the production version will come with resistor. My production set should come in next week.

Yes, it is blinking fast. This is also due to me changing the front turn signal bulb without resistor as well.

Oh ok Gotcha, so as long as it has the resistor we shouldn't have the fast blinking going on, sounds good, can't wait for my install date when they come in the mail. These lights look pretty Sick!

If I ever order these, I'm doing a full DiY of install and show all aspects of the light functions from different angles including brake, running, turn signals and reverse lights in action for at least 15 seconds each for each during daytime and nighttime so folks will really see how thesw work..unless someone else does it before I do
