I'm in the San Francisco bay area as well. I only have a three mile commute so it pretty much the worst thing you can do for mileage. I get about 15 MPG.
On the freeway traveling almost 500 miles with one major pass on the I-5 from Oregon to California, I got about 23 MPG. I was getting around 25 before that. So I guess I'm about 15 city/24 hwy.
Sounds normal. I usually do about 28 on cruise control when driving under 70 mph. However, I recently returned from a 2000 mile trip and time was a factor so I drove on the interstate at 80 mph all the way with cruise control and my mileage was 25.5. Not too bad for that speed, I guess.

I can honestly say that I found very little difference in gas mileage on my LS driving at 70 mph or at 80mph. I usually average between 25 and 30 mpg on the highway depending on weather conditions. Wind direction and velocity is by far the biggest factor.
Country driving in freezing CT I have been averaging 21 with four snow tires. Pure highway 27. In the summer i average 22. Have 81k on odometer on my 460, not a 460L.
