Interesting indeed, with all the owners who stand by the ProAct pads me included have never had this issue front and rear OEM rotors.

Are you sure those are cracks and not just heat-checking? I can't tell from the picture. Heat checking is normal. I don't understand the concern of ceramic pads on our vehicles. ETWD....if you could explain your concerns, I'm very interested to hear! I've always run semi-metallic, but I would not have hesitated to use ceramics on mine.

+1, have had mine's on for about 8K mi, but on Centric/Stoptech slotted rotors and not oem rotors.
My indy mechanic (Lex specialist shop) who used to be a tech at Lexus said his experience has been that our oem rear rotors are prone to warping... fwiw

could be the situation I am not a fan of getting rotors turned and instead just buying new ones when needed because maching down the material will prone them to warp. I agree with new ceramic pads and new rotors if any one choose the course. I have used ceramics before and had no problem but it was new rotors instead of old. most people go ceramic to eliminate the dust.

lexus OEM rotor are prone to warping due to over torquing of the lug nuts or not even torquing between the lug nuts. I use a torque stick to torque my lug nuts.

I had the same problem... Both front and back had cracks in the rotors and caused the car to shake when braking. Went to Lexus and picked up new rotors and pads.

I have read several posts that say the Lexus rotors are prone to warpage. According to my car's service history from previous owner, the fronts were replaced by dealer last year and when I bought the car in January, they were warped again. I purchased a set of Bendix rotors on EBay for 55 bucks with free shipping! LOL. It's been several weeks and so far so good, no vibration. Silky smooth braking. For those considering turning the rotors, for the price you pay vs replacement, you may as well replace, especially since turning the rotors only makes them more susceptible to warpage at a faster rate.

+1 on that... and yep, always use a torque wrench. And after having work done that required wheels to be removed, go back after maybe several days or a week of driving and re-torque everything to proper spec
