CPO is CPO. If they are selling it as CPO, then don't question it. Obviously they felt it was worthy of CPO, but take the CPO process with a grain of salt. They don't rip off bumpers to see if there has been previous work upon initial intake of the car, at least a couple of folks have been in that boat on here. As long as your purchase order has CPO and it shows that way in the system, you are fine. Is that the asking price or what you have negotiated down to so far? If that is sticker price, you need to go down more and work up. I got thousands knocked off buying my CPO 600...they have room to move, especially now being end of month. I worked my salesguy for 25 days or so, then around the 30th of the month, they caved on my terms..ended up getting my CPO 600 for nada trade in value price lol..it CAN be done

CJITTY,
The original sticker price was 34K. They moved their way down to 31K. I tried using everything in my arsenal lol (mentioning the brake disc actuator, control arm bushing, a few incomplete service records etc.). They simply mentioned the CPO warranty as a response and that they have done everything in their power to put this car in condition to their best ability. I think all of it is speculative/subjective.
I wanted to get it down to about 29.8K or so. I don't know if im being too aggressive/greedy. Some people on these forums think that 31K is a good deal, some people have told me I should aim for 29.5 to 30K.
Right now I am gonna rely on focusing on the previous minor accident in order to see if they will budge any more. (as well as the fact that its towards the end of the month and i believe the end of the fiscal quarter).
IF they really won't budge, do you think I could ask them to throw in free extended warranty (up to 5-6 years, 125K miles)? I figure that might be alright too.
Or maybe dealer fees exempt? I hear the dealer fees can be high? What other fees do I need to look out for? (I know I will have to pay the sales tax when I register the car at my home-state DMV)
This is out of state dealership, so I really have to do most of my negotiating before I do my final visit to see/drive/inspect the car. And I would be in a position to buy (unless something really awry came up)
I am open to any of your guys' advice! This is the first used lexus that I have tried to negotiate. So I don't have as much experience as you guys. Thanks for all the replies and advice! It is greatly appreciated!! I'm glad I started posting instead of lurking around these forums lol. Hopefully I can be a part of the LS460 family soon!!

You could ask them for the extended warranty, but you know that's a $2000 item so I doubt that will happen, but they might knock something off that.
I think the important thing here is that you are satisfied with the car. After all we are only talking about a $1200 difference here ($31K to $29.8K). In the scheme of 5 years or more of ownership we are only talking about a "mere bag of shells" (apologies to Ralph Kramden).
If the car is all they say it is, and you can confirm what the minor accident was, I say go for it.
