LOL, I love my cards, but I hear you. It kind of reminds me of when I started driving. I learned from my grandfather to always keep the car keys separate from the house keys, for reasons in the same vein as you describe.

Separately, given how particular I am about cars, I've always hated seeing folks with 20 keys on a ring hanging from the ignition, but that's neither here, nor there...

They may be right, but do not take that as gospel. Like I said earlier in the thread, there are multiple versions of the card, and per my parts manager, in some cases (where there's no card "officially" designated to a model), they've found the right one via trial and error. Plus, you still have an LS... I'm unaware of any uniqueness to the F-sport in terms of how the keys talk to the car.

I've had it back there in my wallet for about 2 years now I think and it is fine. No curve, no damage, and I have a badge wallet so I put more pressure on the cards than most due to the odd angles of the badge.

You have to make sure it is compatible with the FCC number on the back of the factory fob.Once you match those two together then you are GTG. There was an old thread on it that I used when I bought mine. I'll see if I can find it.

Yeah, badge wallet here too and no problems with my card. However, I don't always carry my wallet in my back pocket, so no comparison. The card is pretty stout though, so I'd be pretty confident that it would hold up fine.

I love mine. Got as I already had too many other fobs on my keys. I also love it when I'm wearing a suit. No need to carry my keys everywhere, just the wallet or the key itself.

I believe they can only be programmed once. In that you can by a used one and have it re-programmed. I had purchased a new one from Lexus, but the dealer could not get it programmed. They stated it may have been used once before. So they order another and it worked fine. If that was indeed the case, I'm not sure why they sold me a card that was previously used.

I don't think they would buy multiple cards to do a trials and errors. They also said remote start is not available on my car. tried other audio places and none can do the remote start because the way the Enform is. Weird!!

Yeah, a couple of weeks ago, I scored a pair of them, though one has a cut key and the other is missing its key, for $180. The price was right, they look new, and while they've been programmed to a different car, I'll hit mine with an ECU reset 'cause I have a fob, but that's all I have.

I'm considering waiting to see if my wife wants a fob...either instead or in addition to. She'll likely never drive my car, but I want her to have the "keys" to it.

Yes, I forgot the size. It is a big one but you can use one of the ones from Walgreens or CVS. 2032 I think or a 2016?

Okay got mine open, CR2412, but it is kinda of a universal arrangement as to how the contacts are set up.

A Dealer also said, 2032?? Hope I have the right part!
