Some instrument lights not working
I have an '07 LS460L and I noticed that at night, I can't see the temp lights, radio lights, or the overhead lights, but I can see the instrument lights and the video screen and the lights around the stick shift. I've tried just about everything I can. I've gotta think it's a control I'm just not seeing.
Any help?
Thanks,

I just looked through the manual and couldn't find a setting...yet. This is starting to get me nervous to the tune of a lot of money. But I still have hope for someone out there to say something like, "James no worries. You just push the blah blah blah button and voila there it is."

Seems that someone took the shifter wood panel off and forgot to reconnect all the plugs, including shifter lights. I would disassemble this panel and look under it for disconnected plugs.

hfahmy, Bingo!! I had a car audio guy take that off to take out my ivic-i unit to get replaced last week. I'm really not happy with that guy. I haven't had much success with audio guys lately. They just want to upsell you and then they do shoddy workmanship. I'll have him reconnect when I get the new unit.

Actually, not bingo. My car audio guy looked at the guts and didn't notice anything unhooked. So has anyone experienced some of their lights not working when the car goes into night mode? I also notice that the touch screen doesn't dim when it does. I have to manually adjust the screen brightness. Just wacky stuff I tell ya.

Wow, I don't know what to offer you but sympathy. When these kind of problems happen who knows what the heck can be the cause.
The only thing I can suggest is to take it to the dealer and ask him to scan all the codes. Maybe something will show up. If not you are likely SOL. When things like this happen and a solution is found, it is something that comes out of left field that no one could have imagined was the cause.
The only other thing I can think of is do you have a good fully charged battery?
