DO NOT let him cut a hole in the door metal! You'll never get it repaired properly and painted to match. I'm sure some local with a Slim Jim can help you

Try a high end car stereo place and see if they have any solutions.

Unbelievable they wanted to cut a hole in the door. I used to work at a car auction and there were cars constantantly that had all 4 four doors locked with no one inside. They had an employee though that always got them open and I don't remember any taking longer than a couple of minutes to do so. The older I get the more amazed I am that there is so many so called pros out there that really haven't a clue and this a perfect example.
