the $800 dollar service was just suppose to be an oil change and just checking the car, but they replaced all the filters each time and a couple hoses at times. the quality of the BMW was sub par compared to the LS already from what I have noticed from just the quality control. sadly enough when I gave the car back the air suspension was saggy and I just didn't even want to deal with it and it only had 66k km... oil changes on the car are every 7k km or I would lose the warranty.

[QUOTE=CJITTY;8559215]$800 better have come with a warm washcloth for that price....welcome to the LS club, you will be more than pleased to not know your BMW service advisors kid's names along with their soccer game schedules
When I took my 7 series to the dealer, I used to tell them nothing over 99 without my appoval, then I'd say I'll be in the lounge eating donuts and coffee, keep em coming please, like Tyrese in Fast n Furious, "We hungry what Yall got to eat in here" haha

That's more than a "minor scuff" to me. It can be repaired and look very good for around $100 but you may find that after a year or so the new clear coat begins to peel back. The real repair require removal of the bumper and painting so the clear wraps around the edges and cost over $700 at the Lexus shops. This is from experience but would you believe even though I paid for the intial $100 repair a year later when the clear began to peel the dealer paid the $700 plus a loaner to have it done right as a "goodwill" repair. And I have purchased from them ever since.

can anyone tell me what type of brakes i have on the ca? (sport package or whatever)
they seem enormous in the front of the car and I'm ordering pads for the car and painting the callipers so i don't want to order the wrong ones. the vin number should be on the front page.

My understanding is all 2007-2009 460s have the same front brake pads, only the back is bigger if you have the touring package. Any lexus dealer can tell you if you give them the VIN. Doesn't seem you have it because it comes with air suspension. That's valid only if your car is still stock

If you truly have the Touring Package, you will have much bigger front brakes.
even if you don't buy from them, go to autoanything.com and put in the details for your car, and it will show the different sizes. . .

Welcome Neighbour! You're going to love your LS as do I. We have similar stories......I traded in my enormously problematic 745i for my Lexus. Valve stem seals at 50k miles, failing electronics, NAV issues, drivetrain issues, coolant pipe leak (buried inside engine which requires teardown), etc etc etc. Time magazine listed it in the 50 worst cars of all time along with Edsel, Ford Pinto, and AMC Pacer. LOL. I will NEVER own another BMW.

I've owned six 7 series BMWs over the years, and I can't recall an $800 oil change. However, I never owned (and never would own) one of these cars after the warranty expired. My last BMW was a 2011 750Li, and in 13,000 miles, I went through 9 run flat tires and two wheels. Turns out that run flat tires are extremely easy to damage on the pot-hole filled roads in Houston, particularly when they're attached to 20" wheels on a big, heavy car. The BMW dealership could have cared less about the problems I had with the car.
So no more BMWs or run flat tires for me, which is how I ended up with a new Lexus LS 460 L.

Hey guys,
does anyone know if i have the touring package on the car? and will these pads fit on this particular vehicle?
and my rear sensor is out for brake pads so i ordered this one for cheaper cause OEM are over 200$

hopefully its just a sensor and is good just wondering on your guys thoughts. any recommendations on rotors that are not overpriced?
