My ML SAT system works great, sound, Nav, picture, just the radio buttons AM/FM aren't responding, so I"m thinking its going out. I don't have an issue as all I listen to is SAT system, but know eventually with electronics-one fail leads to another fail.

The ML radio on my '07 works only through the nav screen and the mode button on the steering wheel. On the radio itself, only the volume and tune ***** work. CD's won't load or eject. I checked all the radio fuses; they're scattered around four fuse boxes, no luck. XM works fine.
I bought this car from my mom six months ago. She never listened to the radio. My sister, who drove Mom around in the car told me the radio was stuck on an XM station so they left the volume all the way down, never actually turned it off. The XM worked fine till I used the mode button to turn off the sound system. They never subscribed to XM after the free trial so I think the sound system power was on for 5-6 years. So I think XM works after your subscription expires as long as you don't ever turn it off.
As an interesting aside, I had an ECM software update done a few days ago for a hesitation complaint. That seemed to wipe all the memory functions on the car, except the XM pre-sets. Go figure!

I have the same problem, I play pandora on my phone using the aux. I believe it's the radio turner itself that's messed up. The only thing that works on mine is the aux and the hdd, the music that I download in there. I'm trying to find a head unit to replace to see if it's the head unit itself that is messed up.

Well, my bad everyone, operator error, forgot I had to push the Nav button first to take it back to NAV2, NAV3 then am/fm lol, works fine. Hope everyone gets theirs working
I think there's a bunch of posts on United Radio in Syracuse being sorta inexpensive and fixing it right though, good luck and happy trails.
