Purchased a 2008 LS460. DVD Changer and Aux-in issue
Hey guys,
I purchased my first LS about a week ago. It's a 2008 model with 62K miles.
I have an issue with the DVD changer and the aux in. I am unable to switch to the DVD changer using the Disc-aux button. When I press the Disc-aux button the internal HDD is activated which doesn't have any music on it. Once in this mode I can't switch the audio mode using the Mode button on the steering wheel. I have to press either FM or AM/SAT to get out of the HDD mode.
When I use the voice control and say DVD it says "Unable to read DVD."
Also, I can't load/eject discs to/from the changer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Radio is working fine.

No warranty... the car was shipped from US to Dubai, UAE about two weeks ago.
the DVD Changer was functioning well till early last week and I didnt use it ever since. I purchased an aux cable on the weekend but couldnt switch to aux or DVD mode.

It sounds like you may have loaded a disc that somehow may have gotten stuck. Some discs are thick and that may be the problem. Try repeatedly to eject the discs. Otherwise a good stereo shop may be able to help you.

Check the manual, maybe there's a dedicated fuse for the unit and it's blown.

Checked the manual last night. There's are 4 different fuses for the radio(located in the driver and passenger side near the foot area). And it doesn't specify which fuse does what in the manual.

So did you check all 4 fuses?

Checked all fuses.
Checked all the fuses. ALL of them in the 4 locations. Under the hood, driver side under the steering wheel, passenger side under the glove box and in the trunk. All the fuses are working perfectly fine.

Hmmmm, I thought sure since you didn't see either a green or amber light that there must be a blown fuse. I'm still thinking there might be a stuck CD in the unit, but then I would think you would see the amber light when the unit tried to eject it.
I guess I revert back to taking it to a good car stereo shop.

I noticed there is no "OK" next to the AUDIO OPTION AUX.
