Default Brembo 6 pot BBK pricing/ install?

Hey guys,

I want to get a BBK for my 07 base and I've decided to get some front only brembo 6 pots and was wondering what the going rate for new ones should be.

seems to be $4,400 obo plus tax for set of 380mm 6 pots
Also if its cheaper to piece the kit together?

has any one here installed their own bbk?

Thanks ahead for all and any help!

-Tam

Not sure what you mean by "piecing the kit together"; but i have a Brembo GT BBK and installed it with the help of a few friends. It's been a while, but my only advice is to just remember to disconnect the battery before install and connect the battery only after everything is bled and bolted back together.

Thanks for your input Brian. How long did it take you guys and did you run into any issues?

by "piecing it" I meant what if I bought calipers used separately, then bought new rotors/lines from brembo

Took around a couple hours with a few beers in between. Didn't run into any issues since that piece of advice I mentioned above is probably the most crucial and what separates this BBK install from any others.

As for "piecing it" together, the rotors would probably be the most expensive component of the three, so I'm not 100% sure if that would be the most cost effective. I haven't jumped on YAJ or Upgarage in a couple weeks, but I'm sure there are some deals out there that could be had.

Mind me asking where in CA you're located?

ok enough about prices..

Should I get red or silver? I really like the futura teal =/ (which i could paint later)

My car is silver and my wheels are zweels with polished face and black spoke sides

i like the boldness of the red but not sure if itll match with a silver car, polished wheels..

any BBK picture thread -__-

Congrats on the purchase. I don't think you could go wrong either way.

I bought mine from Autoanything for I believe around $3700-ish. Install was pretty easy, not sure we bled the brakes how you're supposed to but it worked out :P I like my silver ones.

Is the Brembo caliper thicker than our oem ones? Haven't had a chance to use their fitment template on my front aftermarket wheels yet to see if will clear
