The story of my life, P0338...
Hello everyone,
I have the P0338 and this is what I've done so far with no success :
Changed the battery 2 times.
Changed the crankshaft sensor also 2 times.
Changed the alternator.
Checked the cables for the sensor.
All that and I still get the VSC System Check with the same code.
If anyone could help me please, I am about to drive this car over a cliff!
It's an LS 460 2008 with a 89k miles.
Thanks for your help and support.

These are the common causes:
- Faulty crankshaft position sensor
- Crankshaft position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Crankshaft position sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Signal plate may be damage
- Starter motor may be faulty
- Starting system circuit
- Dead or weak battery
A weak starter can trigger this code. Looks like you've already covered the other obvious culprits, so replacing the starter would be my next step.

I am thinking of changing the signal plate, this is the only thing that I haven't done.

I always gets the code (after resetting) while moving with the car, usually 2 hours after the reset, some times it last for a day or two, but I never gets it right after i start the engine.
