I would like to appeal to Lexus about my 2010 LS460L with 47,000 miles. It is six month over the warranty time limit, but I know there have been a lot of problems with this model on front ends, shocks, etc. and that there been service bulletins out on the problems. I have "front end" problems with this car that shouldn't be happening.

Don't know if telling them the story on the $80,000 car with low mileage issues would work, but I sure would like to try. And this was a "certified" used car off their lease program that I bought from an independent dealer who buys Lexus lease returns from the authorized dealer.

It's an expensive fix.

Also, is there someplace that list the TSB's for this model?

Who certified the car? Do you have proof that is was certified by a Lexus dealer? If so, I would ask the dealer who sold you the car 'who certified it?' then have them get the suspension issues fixed. If not you will have an uphill battle starting with the local dealership and going up from there. I seriously doubt you will get any help from corporate at this point.

If they do fix it out of good will consider yourself lucky however they don't owe you anything even if the original purchaser paid a lot of money for it.
Even though it is a known issue with some of the cars the fact is you don't know how the last owner has taken care of or driven it.
It is a good rule of thumb when buying a new car that you are not familiar with to check it out thoroughly as well as have some kind of warranty even if it's only for one year so you can be certain you did not end up with someone else's problems.
I have driven two bad examples of LS460s in my search and passed on them because one was rough and the other just give me the feeling it wasn't driven or maintained by the owner as well as it should.
Both had low miles and was certified but in reality that means very little.

Certified to me doesn't mean jack. There are lots of issues that are not going to be covered under a certified vehicle.

You can try to get someone else to pay for it but don't hold your breath. My suggestion would be chock it up as a learning mistake of buying used. Get the parts you need online to keep the cost down. Find an independent mechanic to do the work for you if you can't do it yourself. When it's all said and done you will have an amazing car to drive for years to come.

If you didn't buy it from a Lexus dealer, it wasn't "certified".

But as also stated, you don;t have to lose your shirt on this repair. Pick up the bushings on Ebay or one of the vendors here for about 150 bucks and have an independent do the labour for a few hundred.

Can you purchase an extended warranty?

Careful. The warranty I saw excluded bushings and basically any other rubber parts.
