Lol! You haven't changed the fluid in that Accord and your transmission is fine? That's got to be a record for those things, good for you. It's the four cylinder, right? The tranny's last longer in the 4's than the 6's. If you're selling it I wouldn't change that fluid, not at this point, who knows how that tranny will react to that? 120k is the service interval for that? 30k was the interval for mine...15k was a recommendation if you do "harsh driving". If that was a honda pilot or Ridgline, you would have put a tranny in it already by now. Good luck selling it, people want those cars for their reliability and gas mileage.
Its the 4 cylinder k24 version. The transmission is just fine. I have been in two minds about changing the transmission fluid but I'm going to put my faith in what it written in the manual as I don't think they would misinform me on the 120k mile interval. I believe the only thing I did wrong is go past the 6 year time line. I'm sure there are a lot more people that follow the service intervals written in the manual and I have a good feeling that Honda motor company has tested what works for their transmissions, case in point only using their brand of transmission fluid. Honda also forbids the use of any transmission flushes like what you find in some quick change places and only specifies replacement. I have a feeling the design of the transmission is such that it may not have some of the issues other transmission types encounter with a fluid replacement late in the game like stuck solenoids.
I could have a problem but if I do it will be a learned experience.
