VAIS / Aux Jack
Just bought my second Lexus - a 2007 LS460 with 69k miles. After 221K miles on my 98 GS400 it was time for a new one (new to me that is). Well equipped but there is no way to hook up my android phone to play tunes. I've read a bit about the Vais IVIC-5d and other models. It would be great to have my phone screen duplicated on the NAV but I'm not sure I really need it. But hey, who really needs heated seats in Vegas? Anyway, can I install an aux jack if I choose not to go the Ivic route? Also, is the ivic the best option for android integration? What other options are there? Finally, where would I get the aux jack to install if such a thing can be done.? Thanks in advance!

I must have somehow missed the port. Where exactly is it? I do have the self park feature.

Is the Lexus self park feature different than the Park Assist feature?

Pole Position
Yes. The Park Assist feature is a radar sensor system that just tells you when you are getting close to something. The self park will park you without you touching the wheel once you get setup in the spot.

glad you found the aux. once you plug it in, you should be able to use the DISC/AUX button to cycle through.
as DJ mentioned, it's different. park assis is just the sensor beeping when you are close. self park is that gimmick feature where you press bunch of buttons, let go of steering wheel and the car parks itself. you need that feature in order for the ivic to work. it has to do with the internal computer programming and addressing

i have done quite a few ivic on ls460. they are all ok except one who has no self park feature. everything works, except when put car in reverse, the rear camera doesn't show up
