Spotify is also 16 bit audio. That's the CD Redbook standard. Spotify is compressed though to 320 Kbit instead of 1411 Kbit of uncompressed CDs. Hi Res audio is 24 bit/48 Khz at a minimum. However there's not much music that is available in this format. I get most of my uncompressed music from my DVDs or Blu ray discs that I digitize and then transfer to an iPhone in Apple lossless format.
