So replying to 4 year old thread and not reading it thoroughly? ya ok... use the quote button next time.
Spun up ? Nah, after 17 years in this forum I’ll say what I please.
Replacing massive rear mufflers either unbolting them and leaving nothing or adding a flanged tailpipe is asking for drone.

I'm running, let's say a few, of my own Exhaust Vents. There is no drone. And when I say no drone, I mean, 0 drone. Not a hint of drone. No perception issues of what drone is … just no drone. If anyone with Exhaust Vents have drone, feel free to speak up.
However, I love the thought of the way your system sounds, drone or not. I would love to hear it. My issue is, I tend to believe the pictured system would be beyond what I would consider to be a Lexus elegant sound. Although I personally would probably really like it, I think the vast majority of LS owner's would think it too loud.

the mid pipe is made from the factory piece with a custom 32” section where the secondary’s and crossover pipe used to be...
you will have the worst drone if you think you can just get rid of rear mufflers lol. Read ISF forums those struggles...
another tip is to have at least 6” of tail pipe behind the rear mufflers. Game changer for these V8s.

VanCityLS, why did you reduce from 2.5 to 2.25"? I'm having the same predicament right now. So you had your muffler pushed in further to make room for a longer tailpipe to help reduce the drone?

I had my custom mid pipe fabricated with 2.25” pipe. My custom axle back section was also made in the same size but with my recent Vibrant Performance mufflers they came in 2.5” so the original tube was stretched.
Ive come to the conclusion that running a tailpipe at least 6” in length made a big difference with drone on these V8’s. This is after my 3 aftermarket mufflers on the 1UR.

yea. I've talked to an have been in hard core contact with the owners of several build shops an tuners around including PPE,JBA, an Flowtech. It seems as if JBA is the closes ticket but nobody's willing to take the leap lol except me. I'll keep you/youz posted. Because #I'm doing it period. For me its really a fitting issue..as anything will flow better than stock number 1, however I'm going TT like right away seriously. So initial performance of High HP an TQ I'm not shooting for because it's a TT set up. Im very Tempted to do JBA because of the hype from @dirtydeeds

The LS and the ISF have the same block so why wouldn’t the PPE’s bolt up. The factory headers even look 99% the same. There could be some steering rack or flange clearance issues but it shouldn’t be too far off. A GS460 member had PPEs and said they only needed mild modification.
