LS460 Muffler Delete. Finally!
Hey Guys,
I considered cutouts at first, took it to my mechanic, said there was no room to put them.
I am aware a few members were successful with cutouts on the LS, not me.
I finally went with the muffler delete, and I can say I am very pleased. Sounds to good.
Here is a clip.

I was honestly surprised myself! You have to hear it in person,
No resonators, my mechanic told me to try the setup with the muffler delete, if more is needed, He would take of the resonators. The sound is perfect. No droning so far. I am loving it.

I do have a garage, just stuff in it! NY weather just got nasty.
I hope it does become a common mod. I am surprised I didn't see anyone do it yet!

The video you provided is promising, and reminds me of the sound the Maserati sedans makes, but I'd like to hear it from the inside....at speed....in everyday driving.

I think members are worried about such a drastic measure, only to find that there's a nasty drone as a result. You state no drone, which is good news for anyone interested in this mod. As I stated, I am intrigued, but ONLY if it doesn't come with a sacrifice to my eardrums.

It must be my age
Sorry Guys I can't see it. The last thing I want to hear in my car that came in at the 80K mark is exhaust sound. I like looking down at the tack to see if it is running. Of course I am old enough to remember what real exhaust sounded like in My 64 GT0 389 Tri-Power, or my 65 SS Impala 396 or my 68 327/350 vet. Those cars had exhaust sounds. I had a friend who had a 62 Chevy Belaire 409 4 speed bench seat. That was a sound. Enjoy it now someday you will be old to.

The key thing here is that if you delete the resonators it would sound worse.
The resonators smoothen up the sound and mellows it out, with out them you would get a lot of unfiltered sounds.
If you want to make it sound even better I would add a pair Magnaflow mufflers.
