The parts cost and the need to have it worked on by a shop that specializes in Mercedes cars alone will make it more expensive, even before you take any reliability difference into account. The beauty of the LS is anybody can work on it. A gas station can work on it. Good luck getting just anybody to work on an S550.

S Classes have their own issues with front suspension components also and they are very expensive parts with no aftermarket options. ALL S Classes also have air suspension, vs it only being an option in the LS.

Just no comparison about long term ownership cost.

I really think the tires are the reason for the 130mph limit. What'd they give us?Z rated?

I wouldnt eff around with taking off the limiter without some Y rated tires because I know he'll do about 175 without the limiter.

The car was made for it,let's just make sure the tires were made for it🙏

V rated tires which are rated to 149 MPH.
