Where do you all buy your sunshield for your Lexi? I heard that there are some that actually lower the temperature inside the car moreso than those little thin ones that have help written on the back....

Not quite sure if you are talking about window tint or the factory sunscreen.

Window tint - You are probably thinking about ceramic tint.

Sunscreen - It is a factory item not aftermarket although there may be some of those.

 

What I meant its that piece of material that you put in the windshield when you park on a sunny hot day and remove it when you want to drive. Thanks

 

I don't do that. My tint keeps it cool.

 

I bought one of these for my 612. What I like about it is it protects the whole interior, not just the leather dash, but the seats and the leather rear deck panel. It is compacl and easy to put on. You don't have to use the elastic straps across the front, just tuck it under the windshield wipers.

Any major auto parts store would have it, or even the dealer albeit more expensive from them.

 

If you're just wanting a nice window shade to pop in when your car sits out in the sun all day, just head to a local automotive place like an AutoZone. They have a variety to choose from.

 

Ebay has a ton of custom fit ones, for like 25 to 30 bucks. I had one on my 3gs fit perfect.

 

I've never seen one of these. Had no idea they made them. I would imagine this is more for a whole day in the office thing vs running in the mall?

 

The custom fit ones by Covercraft have worked well for me in my ls460 and prior vehicles. A little pricey buy worth it to me

 

I use the Heatshield shade. Fits perfectly (for my RX anyway, not an LS owner, yet), and rolls up nicely.

 

I bought the windshield shade that the dealer sells. It's made for the car and fits perfectly. It's the kind that rolls up with a velcro strap. I use a towel to cover the steering wheel.
