New Guy
Hello everyone. After several months of looking for my dream Lexus and reading several forums on this site I finally bit the bullet and purchased a 2007 LS 460. I'm a DYI kinda guy and read how too change oil already (which I had no idea how to do until this forum). These cars are simply amazing !!

Now, as you should know from being an astute visitor, now member of the forum, the same rules apply:
A pic of two of the exterior (interior optional) and a bit of back ground on your search and find.
Also, fellow member and forum Moderator CJITTY started this thread some time ago so that every one could familiarize themselves with one another, so feel free to place your entry there as well!
Again, congrats and yes indeed, its a great car!

Mercury Metallic.Love this color!!
Car was garaged. Still shines !!
The Honda in the background is what I traded. LS definitely rides better !!
Unfortunately I don't have any interior pics yet but its a black gut loaded with M/L and DVD's in the rear headrests (haven't seen many with this). Here's what I have so far...

Thank you Tec80. Just spent 1K on tires. I plan on changing the oil this week because the dealer used dino in it. I think I'm gonna go with Pennzoil Pure Plus Synthetic 5w-20 and a NAPA gold filter. Then it's gonna be rotors and pads. Even though I'm throwing a lot of $$$ at it right after a purchase I had to have it. It's that clean !!

Screens in the headrests was never an option from the factory. Only aftermarket. US spec cars with the rear entertainment system only have a fold down TV from the roof. Other select markets such as Canada would have the rear TV mounted on the center console.
I also believe the rear seat entertainment was only available in the long wheelbase models.
Welcome and congrats on the car! Im sure you will love it!

Congrats. Make sure to check the air filter and the cabin air filters. Especially the cabin air filter, as some people seem to think they're either a myth or that they never need to be changed.

Jiffypop thank you, I knew they came as a drop down it didn't make sense that they were in the headrests. So someone paid good money to have those installed ?
NickTee, cabin filter is located in the glove compartment correct ?
I was just reading the post about the filter located under the seat for the AC. These cars are crazy !

Congrats! Car looks great! Also, that's quite the upgrade.
On a side note, I got one of those Civics as a loaner (from a BMW dealership lol), must've been a beaten up example b/c man was it exceptionally loud with a horrible vibration!

Beautiful car!
A couple costly mistakes I made when I bought my '07 last year:
1. I put conventional 5W-30 oil in it (see "Hesitation on Acceleration" threads)
2. I broke my radiator when swapping out the accessory drive belt
3. I didn't take it in to have it inspected for control arm bushing damage - that cost be a few grand to fix and is a common problem with early 4th gen's.
You'll still love it even after you screw all this stuff up :-) I do anyway :-)
