Default Need Brake Help!!!

Has anyone ever heard or noticed a noise(I truly think it's the control arms) after going with an aftermarket set of brakes??? Long and short took my LS in for a simple tire sensor, they did that as well as contacted my extended warranty company for a Control Arm repair, this was February now as of September that same sound is back but worse, the dealer is saying it's the aftermarket drilled & slotted rotors that are creating to the noise when I'm
Not 100% sure they avoiding having to replace the control arms from earlier this year??? Any suggestions or opinions welcomed!!!

Take your car elsewhere for a second opinion. If it's the "same" noise and was remedied by changing the control arm, then it's probably the control arm, and it does seem like they are trying to blame the rotors as the cause. Noise can be caused by a number of things and it's rarely the rotor. Maybe get two other opinions and if it is indeed the control arm, go back to the first shop and see if you can get them to get you a new one.

If it is a clicking noise that is speed frequency dependent then the dealer could be right. Slotted rotors can produce this effect with new brake pads. The calipers are floating and the brakes pads when new before broken in may contact contact the rotor ever so slightly until it breaks in especially if the rotors are not true which is the cases with cheap drilled and slotted rotors that everyone seems to get.

Is it a rattle ? Rattle noises are most likely brake pad hardware

The Brake Pads and NOT the rotors may indeed be ever so slightly smaller than OEM, causing a rattle over smaller bumps in the road, hopefully a cheap fix $53 new set of front pads compared to the $800 fix the dealer suggested, will update soon!
