Yes. As one of Time Magazine's "50 worst cars of all time", you can bet on it. And as the previous owner of said POS, I can also support their review.

My bushings on the driver's side are starting to go, but I'll tell you, the amount it effects my daily driving is so minuscule that I may put them off until it gets bad. Does that make me a bad person? It's just that I can live with the ever so slight shimmy that occasionally happens at 60mph, and I can deal with the ever so slightly "noise" I hear once in a blue moon when I drive over harsh pavement. I do get a slight pull on the highway too, but these are things I'd consider more than normal out of most cars, so I'll probably let it go a little while longer to see of it gets worse. It's been going on for about 15k miles now...so far it hasn't gotten worse, we'll see how it goes.

My 09 LS air suspension had the rear air shocks fail. Wondering if it's just the air suspension cars or does base suspension have problems too?

Not used to seeing this poor a rating for Lexus reliability.
Keep in mind that CR gives an overall reliability rating of "much better than average" for LS460's from 2009 forward. To me, the 2009 and 2010 black circles in that category mean that while suspension issues (most likely front control arms) were concerns until 2011 (actually late 2010), the 2009 and 2010 LS models are still desirable cars to own in terms of reliability.

As others have stated, if you're not buying a CPO vehicle and not planning on buying a third-party extended warranty that would cover this problem, then factor in the cost of repairs in your buying decision. If you're not a DIY'er for this repair, consider going to a trustworthy, competent independent shop if it proves less expensive than going to the dealer.

Of course not. But it may lead to other consequences, and you should be aware of those when making a decision about how long to wait. My bad bushings caused very premature tire wear on the inside edges (a set of all-season tires was worn past the wear markers after 10,000 miles). Bad bushings also mean more stress on suspension components, possibly increasing the risk of other suspension failures, and certainly hastening the failure of other bushings that aren't already failed.
