$23k is still a pretty good buy for that car but I would try and speak directly with the Sales Manager ... tell him you'll do $21.5k today and see what he says ... They're into that car for maybe $16k tops and in a few months it'll be 9 yrs old

I bought my 1 owner 07' LS460 w/ Levinson and a +$1200 CarFax rating last November for $21k (70k mi) ... I searched a 200mi radius for 6 months and it was the overall best deal

The 460 is an excellent choice and one of the most reliable, beautiful, smooth and quietest vehicles you can own. All that matters is what you think is a fair price. Mileage, colors and options are big factors. There are tons of 460's from excellent condition to some you might want to avoid. Personally I would purchase the latest 460 I could because most a 8 years old is expected to have or will have some problems. Regardless, if you purchased a price breaker today a better deal will always follow. Good Luck on your purchase.

i still think 07 460 w/ 90k miles for 18k is the best bargain. service history also rocks.

my fav of course is 07 ls460 w/ 60k for 23k but i dont know if 30k miles can justify 5-6k price difference.
BTW the 23k is actually 22k plus 699 autonation dealer service fee plus another 200 fee.

Actually, if you really take time to look and analyze the pricing for many of the older LS models (07/08), you'll find that when looking at miles:dollars, the approximation is $1k per 10k miles.
So if one car has 30k miles and is 23k...
The other has 90k miles and is 18k...
That's a difference of 60k miles and $5k.
Granted the one place has tacked on fees but its still in the neighborhood.
Like I said, it isn't definite formula, but as I still get updates daily from cargurus, I always look at the year, mileage and cost and that seems to be pretty common.

one has 60k miles not 30k miles...other 90k.
so 3k difference is reasonable

Are either of these "L" versions?
It seems like it wouldn't matter a lot but it could account for a bit...
My apologies for misunderstanding the mileage point.
In my opinion, the one with 60k should be cheaper.
Do you know how long they've had it for?
They need to take $20-$21 out the door, HOWEVER!! $23 isn't a bad price, BUT the car is about to be 9 years old model-year wise.
I had been told time and time again to not worry about the miles on an LS as long as it was cared for. But given that you wish to keep it for 5 years and pile on the miles, I honestly would try to get the newest, lowest mile car possible.
I would do like others have said and go with a check for the one with 60k and offer$20 or $21 and at the very most pay 22k.
There is a member on here named Doublebase and I believe he purchased his LS over a year ago: an 07 with between 65k-70k miles and got it for low $20k's. I want to say 22k.
He now has over 100k! No issues!

'07 with 60k at 23k isn't bad for a SWB. If it's an L, then that's a pretty good price. I picked up my '07 SWB a few months ago with 60k for around that price.

There's an '09 with 60k miles in Ontario going for 27k (Canadian). It's loaded and is a long-wheelbase model. In U.S. dollars, that's about 21k dollars U.S. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Lexus/LS/...&orup=29_15_66

That's amazing deal if it's simple to move here.
Has anyone bought car from canada? What's shipping usually around to us?
What about carfax or inspecting at dealer?
I'm very interested in this

Nice-looking car. "Almost" loaded -- it has Rear Seat Upgrade but not four-zone climate control or radar cruise.

Importing a car from Canada is a major bureaucratic hassle. You need a letter from the manufacturer stating the specific car meets U.S. safety and emissions requirements. That is not necessarily an easy thing to get.

Well I finally got dealer to come down to 21699.
Really wanted 21k but I do think 21699 is their last final price.
Hmm. Thinking of pulling the plug.

2007 ls460 60k. Fav color option. Navi and mark Levi.
$21699

Id say if all else checks out, rides great, looks great, go for it!
Make sure to check the water pump (remove engine covers and check for pink residue near the tensioner pulley area-fyi-easy fix though), remainder on pads, CA bushings, check brakes for possible faulty actuator...just to have an idea as to what you may have to spend, if anything, on repairs/fixes.

I'm in the same boat, I recommend you checkout the service records and compare to carfax for large gaps in the usage/mileage.. Also check the tech notes. I found many notes describing severe impacts and even frame damage, most of these I found were unreported to carfax and autocheck. Good luck!

Is it that difficult? I figured it would be easy since our emissions requirements are the same as in the U.S.

I do know that California has stricter requirements. Americans cross the line all the time to buy our cars up here.
