Park sensor question................
We have one park distance sensor that beeps like crazy when we put the car in reverse and I was wondering if they are covered under the CPO warranty or not.
I'd call the dealer and ask them, but I trust this forum WAY more than the dealers. I understand that they are in business to make money, but that's one of the reasons that I don't trust them too. Not too mention that most on this forum know more than some of the service writers do, just because it's a job for them, but a Passion for us!
If that makes any sense.
Thanks in advance! I Appreciate the help!

Im not sure about the CPO warranty aspect of your question, but I recall reading somewhere a while back (in this forum) that sometimes they can get dirty, like in the round housing area.
I believe someone said that they took a tooth pick and gently went around/cleaned the area around the sensor, then blew it out/wiped it and that fixed it.
I guess a culmination of dirt, wax, deposits can build up over time in the small crevice.
Of course I understand that this may not be your issue, but hopefully its an easy fix.

The Park Assist sensors are covered under the 4 year/50k mile comprehensive warranty that
started at date of first use. How many miles are on the LS and when was it first sold?
The CPO warranty is 3 full years from your purchase date and a total of 100k miles on the
Powertrain but not the sensors.

CPO covers everything the factory warranty covers with the exception of wear and tear (belts, pads, rotors, tires) and trim, (e.g.leather any vinyl). I have LS460L and LS600hl, both CPO. You are covered, take it to the dealer and request the repair, there should not be any charge.

The cpo warranty does not cover trim prices. I would say you are good on the sensor, just not the parts around it maybe. I fought with the dealership on my RX on a loose trim peice that they would not replace, so I used two sides tape and it lasted 140,000 miles more till I sold it.

sensor is bad, sensor is covered, they need to change it and put the car back together as it was.
If there was broken sensor trim but it works then they might say no, if the sensor does not work then it is malfunction of a covered component, they have to fix it at no charge.
The way CPO works is; if it is not in the exclusion it is covered. This is Lexus warranty not bait and switch.
